Novint Partners With Eidos

he last few times we have had an opportunity to check out the Novint Falcon, we were impressed with the idea of taking gaming to a tactile level. However, there was one thing sorely lacking at each of the demos – compatible video games. It looks like the tides have turned for the 3D touch controller creators, and they now have the full weight of Lara Croft, Kane and Lynch and Agent 47 behind them.

Novint recently announced a partnership with Eidos Interactive, and as part of the deal Eidos will make several of their most popular titles available for the Novint Falcon game controller. Tomb Raider: Legend, Hitman: Blood Money, 25 to Life, Just Cause, BattleStations: Midway and Kane & Lynch will be part of the deal. The controller allows users to feel force feeback, touch environmental textures and pick up objects. The games are expected to release later this year.

“These are great action titles that will really be incredible to play with the Falcon. Eidos set the bar with the Tomb Raider and Hitman franchises and we look forward to giving our players the chance to experience them,” said Tom Anderson, CEO of Novint.

“The Falcon really takes the whole gaming experience in a totally new direction,” said Janet Swallow, Head of Licensing at Eidos. “There is no doubt that consumers will love this technology and Eidos is excited to be able to support it.”

The Falcon is priced at $189.99 and is available only for the PC. To get more information on the Novint Falcon, check out their official website.
