ey, it's another long weekend! This time around, it's all about Independence Day. For our money, there's no better time of year to grill outside, enjoy the sun and (maybe) squeeze in some late-night gaming sessions. Here's what we're up to this weekend...
Well, Operation: Deck should be winding down tomorrow after my wife and I finish putting up the railing and oh man nobody cares about that. After that’s done, I’m going to be patriotic by sticking it to those Nazis in Call of Duty 2. Then I’m going to try to keep my son from choking on the pieces as I assemble one of several new Lego Castle sets I picked up this morning. Once those are done, I’ll dive into some Battlefield: Bad Company multiplayer while I avoid anything having to do with cosplay.
Holiday weekends are awesome! Why? Because I get extra days off? Nay. Because I get extra days off with grilled hot dogs! Last weekend was spent ironing out the details of my new ride, the 2008 VW Rabbit. This weekend will be me working a Weber grill in the trunk. Burgers on the go! Fast food is for sucker. Why stop when you could get a burger while driving 55! Ok, maybe not such a good idea. On the game side of things, I finished BF bad Company and plowed halfway through Viking which I find pretty enjoyable actually. Jeff, Reiner and I are planning on kicking some ass in Bad Company multiplay for Xbox Live so come rip it up!
I have a lot going on this weekend – that much I know for sure. I am heading up to my parents cabin with family and friends, but will spend more time than I would prefer indoors. With San Diego Comic Con coming up quickly, I need to work hardcore on putting finishing details on my costumes. Considering that E3 is going to cut into my prep time – this weekend is it for me. When I am done with my Witchblade Gauntlet and wings for my Soulfire ensemble, I will make it outside to do some boating and basking in the sun. I plan on bringing the Wii up with me, as it is the most family friendly system I own and my dad really seems to enjoy beating all of us at bowling. Throw a PSP, DS and some cold beer in the equation, and I have a solid weekend ahead of me!

I plan on renting Guitar Hero: Aerosmith after work today and will probably spend a majority of my gaming time, this weekend, rocking out. I'm going to download the new RSV2 content as well, so I might also get in on some Rainbow Six Vegas 2 multiplayer. Other then that, I have no other plans except to lounge around the pool, eat some good food and maybe pop a firecracker or two.
