PlayStation 3 Gets GTA IV Patch

Rockstar has released a patch for the game that is designed to address some of the larger issues. Here it is, straight from Rockstar: “Rockstar Games has released a GTA IV patch for Playstation 3 today that prevents Gamespy’s servers from being overloaded and therefore reduces the impact on those servers that were causing the game to stutter and lock up. We continue to monitor the performance of the game both on and offline and will provide further updates as necessary. We want to assure everyone that, together with our hardware partners, we continue to strive to give our fans the best possible interactive entertainment experiences possible. This update will ensure that everyone will experience Grand Theft Auto IV the way it was intended. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.”
THQ Dips Into WWE History For New Wrestling Game
If your wrestling tastes lean more toward classic Hulkster-era WWF than today’s offerings, THQ has news that you might find interesting. The publisher announced today that WWE Legends of WrestleMania is currently in development for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles. "JAKKS Pacific is pleased to introduce a new WWE videogame property to the fighting genre," said Nelo Lucich, senior vice president of interactive, JAKKS Pacific. "The WWE SmackDown vs. Raw franchise has captured a collective audience of WWE fans, game enthusiasts and casual players, and we are confident that WWE Legends of WrestleMania will be poised for great success."
Fight Night Ready For Round 4
Just because the company is working on the cartoony Facebreaker, it doesn’t mean that EA is abandoning realistic boxing games. The company today announced that the fourth installment of its popular Fight Night game is in development at EA Canada. The game will include a new physics-based animation system that simulates sloppy punches and glancing blows, and will also take into account fighters’ adrenaline, footwork and timing. Boxing legends such as Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson will be included, too, giving players the chance to lace up the gloves and enter the ring as one of the greats. The game is in development for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 systems and is set for a 2009 release.
