ith Sony Playstation Day just finishing up across the pond, details are making there way back to us about several hot titles. Below are some of the highlights brought to us via Eurogamer.
Highlights
- The PlayStation 3 has officially outsold the Xbox 360 in Europe. “I am delighted to be able announce today,” Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Head David Reeves stated, “that we have sold more PlayStation 3’s throughout Europe than Xbox 360 - even though they launched sixteen months before PS3."
- Europe will in fact be getting a PlayStation 3 / Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle starting June 12. The bundle will retail for 439.99 Euros.
- Siren Blood Curse will be released for the PlayStation network in 12 downloadable episodes. The game will follow an American TV crew researching a legend of “The Vanished Village.” Look for it this summer.
- PlayStation Home will be "open to the public towards the end of the year" says Kaz Harai, president of SCE. He also apologizes for the delay and reiterates that he won't open up Home until he's "completely happy with it."
- SCEE and Nissan announced a partnership which resulted in the GT Racing Academy. The academy will give racing fanatics a chance to see if they can prove their driving skills in real life.
- Motorstorm 2 has an official name, Motorstorm: Pacific Rift. The game is set on a tropical island and will feature 16 unique tracks. The game will include split screen capabilities and 16-player online races.
- Killzone 2 has been delayed for a UK release till February 2009.

The next pack, Operation: Broken Mirror, brings the mighty Armoured Personnel Carrier into the fray as troops battle it out in the seven arenas of the new Vaporfield Glacier. Available now, the battle will be decided across seven arenas capable of holding different numbers of players – up to 32 gamers can fight in Tundra Assault, for example, while Olsavik Village is designed for smaller battles with four to eight players.
