KingsIsle Entertainment Inc. Enters The MMO Arena

new gaming entity has entered the MMO arena – KingsIsle Entertainment Inc. was officially unveiled today after three years of secrecy. Working out of both Austin and Dallas, KingsIsle already boasts over 100 employees and is filled with some of the top talent from the industry. Headed by chairman and chief executive officer Elie Akilian and President David Nichols, other key figures include Todd Coleman and Tom Hall. Nichols most recently worked as the senior vice president of administration and operations for Midway, while Coleman gains his experience as the president of Wolfpack Studios – the creators of the MMO Shadowbane. Tom Hall is most know as the co-founder of id Software and ION Storms and has games such as Wolfenstein 3D and DOOM under his belt.

The company seems to be in good hands as Akilian is not new to starting companies from scratch. He co-founded and later served as the head of Inet Technologies, Inc. from 1999 to 2004.

"We founded KingsIsle with an approach that fosters ingenuity," said Elie Akilian. "Our focus is in the online environment and will continue to be so in the future. We've pulled together some of the most creative minds around and given them room to push boundaries and create superlative entertainment experiences. We'll continue to build on that base of originality."
