WiiWare Title My Life As A King Charging For All But One Race

ot to long ago we reported WiiWare Japan’s official March 25 launch date and outlined the nine games scheduled to be available from day one. The launch of the downloadable content portal did nothing to quell the fears of those looking to avoid micro-transaction fees for essential gameplay elements. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King topped the release list at a $15 price point. Joystiq reports that only one of
the four races in My Life as a King will be available from the get go – a surprise to those who were expecting extra purchasable content to be on a smaller scale of importance. The Clavat race is available from the start, but Yukes, Lilties and Selkies must be bought.

In order to get the three additional races, players will need to build a place for them to dwell at a cost somewhere between 100-300 Wii Shop Points. Extra downloadable content includes the ability to purchase new garb for the Crystal Chronicle characters.

North American users can look forward to making micro-transactions by the dozens starting May 12.
