lectronic Arts today announced another delay of Mythic’s MMO Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. The company also announced a large collectors edition for 80 bucks to take the blow off of the delay. The company was very quiet about the delay in their announcement just saying that the release is now scheduled for fall 2008. This is yet another setback for the developer, but the game remains to be one of the most promising MMOs we’ve seen since World of Warcraft.
The collectors edition will feature an official Games Workshop miniature from the original game, a hardbound graphic novel and 224-page hardcover art book. It's a pretty awesome deal if you’re into shelling out the extra dough for it.

"Collecting has been a part of the Warhammer hobby experience for 25 years, and this special Collector's Edition continues the tradition with exclusive offerings, including an official Games Workshop miniature," said Mark Jacobs, VP and General Manager, EA Mythic. "We are bringing the quintessential elements of Warhammer - tabletop miniatures, incredible fantasy art, and delightfully grim fiction - along with exciting in-game bonus content, together in what is sure to be one of the premier Collector's Editions of all time."
We’re really hoping this release date sticks because we and the rest of the MMO-playing world can't wait to get their paws on the game.
