Soulcalibur IV Makes Playable Debut At CES 2008

hile technically the first video game show of the year is usually
DICE/GDC, every year the Consumer Electronics Show keeps boasting about how big CES will be in the gaming sector. Well, for Soulcalibur fans, keep a close eye out around Jan. 8, because Namco Bandai will be hosting a press-only event surrounding their highly anticipated fighter - Soulcalibur 4 - where members of the press will be able to get their hands on the game for the first time.

Not only that, but Namco Bandai has also revealed that there will be a special unveiling. Granted, we're betting it will have to do with the blanked-out character in the invite picture, but we're hoping they're announcing they've come to their senses and returned the spelling of the series name back to its roots - two words - Soul Calibur. Here's to hoping!

We'll be kicking it live from CES 2008 in January, and will deliver a full report.
