Sony Releases 3.73 PSP Firmware Update

ony released the latest firmware update for its PlayStation Portable system today, which brings systems up to version 3.73. It’s definitely a tiny update to the existing firmware, so don’t expect any major changes. According to Sony, here’s what it does:

New for 3.73: Operation of the UMD drive has been improved to address
cases in which the UMD drive occasionally suspends and fails to reload data. Updating the system software to version 3.73 will resolve this issue.

So if you’re one of those who have been experiencing this problem, this could be your salvation. Otherwise, you shouldn’t lose any sleep if you can’t upgrade immediately.
