Link’s Crossbow Training Is Wii Zapper Pack In

ink wants you to train your crossbow in minutes a day! Nintendo announced today that its $19.99 Wii Zapper peripheral will include a new game, Link’s Crossbow Training, when it ships Nov. 19. The Wii Zapper (don’t call it a gun!) is a plastic shell that houses both the Wii’s remote and nunchuck controllers, allowing users to play upcoming shooting games with a natural-feeling controller.

“The Wii Zapper combines our remarkable controllers into one housing with a classic style reminiscent of arcade-style games,” says George Harrison, Nintendo of America’s senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. “Both veteran and first-time players will find it brings a whole new dimension to games where targeting is key and provides even more exciting game-play experiences.”

Link’s Crossbow Training is set in a world “in the style of” Twilight Princess, with Link playing through a variety of shooting tests. Starting out with stationary targets, he’ll eventually shoot moving targets and then live enemies.

In addition to the pack-in game, players will be able to use the Wii Zapper in the upcoming titles Medal of Honor Heroes 2, Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and Ghost Squad. Don’t be surprised if a few classic Nintendo shooting games show up in the Virtual Console or in updated games, such as Duck Hunt, Hogan’s Alley, Wild Gunman, Gumshoe, Battle Clash or Bazooka Blitzkrieg.
