Rage's Morello To Become Third Guitar Hero Legend, Aerosmith Doing GH4?

irst it was Slash. Then it's Bret Michaels. Now Rolling Stone today is reporting that Rage Against The Machine's mad guitarist Tom Morello has revealed that he will be the third guitar legend to appear as a boss character in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. Apparently, Morello isn't all that great at the game than he is playing the guitar in real life.

“Whenever I play Guitar Hero my opponent always kicks my ass on my own riffs. It’s embarrassing. Now that I’m actually in the game I hope the digital me will win once in a while!” said Morello.

That being said, Billboard Magazine just revealed that Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry let the cat out of the bag that outside of the Boston based band working on a new album, they're also working closely with developers on Guitar Hero IV, which will be dedicated to Aerosmith.

"I don't know much about the technical part of it," Perry says, "but artistically we're working hand in hand."

With Guitar Hero III not even in stores yet, it's pretty shocking that Guitar Hero IV news would get the leak so soon. We contacted RedOctane about these stories and got a big fat "No comment."

We'll keep you posted as news develops about both of these stories.
