Pokemon Diamond And Pearl To Support Full Voice Chat

intendo today announced that both Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl will be released on April 22 for the Nintendo DS. The games will feature 380 Pokemon that were available in previous versions and more than 100 new Pokemon. After progressing further into the game, users will be able to import Pokemon from their Game Boy Advance Pokemon games. Also, beginning on March 18, gamers who pre-order a copy of either game will receive one of two collectible Pokemon styluses.

Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl will also support local wireless battles, and up to eight trainers can connect and play. Also for the first time, both titles will allow users to battle over the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection with voice chat during and after battles, and compete with players all around the world.

"The amazing wireless and voice chat features of Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl offer gamers something completely new," says George Harrison, Nintendo of America's senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. "We make games for everybody, and these Pokemon titles are sure to be a hit with new and returning players."

We'll have more on Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl in the near future.
