Konami today announced that consumers who pre-order Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin for DS at Gamestop, EB Games and GameCrazy locations nationwide will receive, at the time of purchase, a limited edition box set containing items that document the history of the franchise.

Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin Hands-On Preview

New information on Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin has been scarce since the first playable demo all the way back at E3. But now Konami’s ripping the lid off of it. Our demo began with the very first look at PoR’s snazzy anime intro, which we aren’t allowed to show. But to make up for it, we have an all-new trailer and plenty of direct feed of the game in action.

We spoke with Castlevania main man Koji Igarashi at Comic-Con and got the full scoop on the upcoming Portrait of Ruin for DS. For a while now the art that we’ve seen for the game has been based on materials compiled for a Nintendo Power cover. But we’ve got the very first look at what will end up being part of the final box art for the game. Check out this great art and stay tuned for our full interview coming soon.
