Comic-Con 2006 Wrap-up

nother Comic-Con has come and gone, and while Bryan is on his way home reading all of the free comics he got, and doing the Barbie and Ken thing to his new action figures on the plane, we’re delivering our final batch of interviews.  We run the gamut from Death, Jr. to Sam & Max, to Silent Hill. See what all of these comic-related franchises have coming to a console near you…

William Oertel: Konami – Silent Hill Origins Producer
Since its initial announcement, Silent Hill: Origins has been shrouded in a fog of mystery. Many thought it was a remake of the original Silent Hill on PlayStation. Others thought it was a tie-in to the recently released feature film. As more and more info on the game is released, the anticipation grows in true Silent Hill fashion. William Oertel, the producer of Silent Hill: Origins was nice enough to give us a thorough run-down of the PSP’s first true survival horror title and what it entails.

Mike Mika: Backbone Entertainment – Studio Head – Death, Jr.
Okay, one game and now DJ is freakin’ everywhere.  T-shirts, comics, graphic novels, and most likely coming soon to Underoos near you.  Or on you.  Or maybe on Mike Mika!  We chat with Backbone Entertainment’s Studio Head Mike Mika and find out how it all happened, what the future holds for DJ, and the differences between the PSP and DS titles.

Dan Connors: CEO Telltale – Sam & Max
David Reid: Vice President GameTap Marketing

After this highly touted series got killed off a couple of times, it is looking like one our favorite duos is slated to return, but in a completely different form.  Telltale is bringing out Sam & Max in episodic content, and we get the details on the revival, how it all came together, and why in episodes?  Sam & Max will first be exclusively available at GameTap so we chew the fat with the VP of Marketing to get his take on what their company brings to the table, and what he thinks of GameTap’s competition.
