Driver: Parallel Lines To Feature Music From The 70's And Today

tari today revealed first details about the soundtrack to Driver: Parallel Lines. The game will feature over 70 tracks including world-renowned artists from the worlds of hip hop, punk rock and dance. Atari has worked with Nimrod Productions to fill out the soundtrack which will include Public Enemy, Grandmaster Flash, Suicide, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Arthur Baker, Mylo, Paul Oakenfold, Lifesavas featuring Vernon Reid, the Audio Bullys, David Bowie, Blondie, Iggy Pop, WAR, The Temptations, Funkadelic, Marvin Gaye, Parliament, and Average White Band, The Roots, LCD Soundsystem, TV on the Radio, Kaiser Chiefs, Secret Machines, and The Dead 60's.

"In taking the successful and stylish Driver brand to iconic New York City in the 70's and today, we wanted to make sure the soundtrack captured and evoked the setting to really elevate the experience," said Stephen Baer, Senior Product Manager, Atari, Inc. "The soundtrack for Driver: Parallel Lines draws on an incredible mix of legendary and new talent to create the perfect complement for riveting gameplay."

"The melting pot of the New York music scene stretches across so many musical boundaries that it seems to effortlessly create an infectious mix, from obscure 70's gems to classic tracks, and important new bands to the modern day musical heroes," said Marc Canham, co-founder of Nimrod and the game soundtrack composer and music producer for Driver: Parallel Lines.

Atari announced that the soundtrack from Driver: Parallel Lines, is now available for download exclusively at the iTunes Music store.  Driver fans can now download exclusive tracks to their iPods, Macs and PCs.
