ver sign up for those crazy web-based surveys that will give you coupons to get deals on stuff? While we haven't, our friends at Classic Gamer have, and recently a Revolution centric entry came across which they snapped a truckload of different pictures of the different flash frames.
During this Marketing survey done by Zanthus, quite a number of different questions were asked about elements relating to Nintendo's upcoming Revolution. Zanthus has most recently been used by Nintendo to gather Metroid data on which Metroid spin-offs gamers would like to see.
Questions ranged from "Would you buy the Revolution within the first 12 months if it were $199 or $299", a number of generic questions about which games you would like to play, as well as download scenarios related to the virtual console. Among the questions was related to pricing for classic games, which tossed around three pricing scenarios, game purchase, game rental, and game subscription. The game subscription concept would be either allowing you to be able to rent a certain number of games per month, and as long as you kept your subscription current any game you had rented you could always play. Pricing varied for these different service possibilities: all-you-can-rent option for $14.99 per month, NES titles for $2.99, and N64 titles at $19.99 per game. The survey would ask for your opinion if you would be willing to pay that much for each .
The slides presented in the survey are also very interesting, showing much how the virtual console could work. Mind you, this was a flash based survey and will not represent how the Revolution will look when released.

Finally, the survey listed a number of console titles which will likely be available at launch for the virtual console:

We contacted Nintendo of America and they gave us the usual boiler plate blah-blah answer of, “Nintendo doesn’t comment on speculation and rumors.” While interesting, there’s no hard facts here outside of that Nintendo wants to know what gamers think about the virtual console concept and pricing.
We’ll have more on this when it breaks.
