50 Cent Says Game Is For Kids, Banned In Austrailia

n an interview with Reuters, Rapper 50 Cent says parents should buy his new game 50 Cent: Bulletproof for their kids as an educational tool, regardless if the game is Mature rated.

"Just because it is rated mature doesn't mean you shouldn't buy it for your kids.  Play the game and explain to them what they are playing."

"I think everyone knows that a game is a game. There's the part where you actually press start on the controller – after that you are playing a game."

"If we have to take away video games, then we have to think about other things."

In related news, the game has been denied an official age classification in Australia, making the game illegal to be sold, rented, or even exhibited in the country.  The review board stated that a three member panel played the game for a total of 42 hours and came to a unanimous decision that the game should be refused classification.  Counter kills and on-screen blood spatter deemed the game not able to accommodate the MA15+ rating – Australia’s highest classification rating.

The board has also previously refused classification to such titles as Carmageddon, Manhunt, NARC, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
