Boise To Become First Video Game Capital?

daho goes from potatoes to Video Games?  Well, if Twin Galaxies’ Walter Day has his way, that could be the case.

According to a report in the Idaho Statesman, Walter Day wants to move Twin Galaxies from its current home of Iowa, to Boise, Idaho, and build a 12,000-square-foot stadium.  The stadium would house a gaming museum, weekly competitions, and the annual video game world championships.  Day stated that he wants to post statistics from players across the globe, as well as host big events on the weekends, and host championships.

Day says if the make the move to Idaho, they’ll hire as many as 50 people, and bring thousands of Gamers to Boise.

Unfortunately, while an interesting thought, Day still has yet to contact the city’s Chamber of Commerce, or the economic development council.  Whether or not if this will actually happen is still to be determined.

We'll have more on this when it breaks.
