EA And Take-Two Talking Behind Closed Doors

A and Take-Two have had a turbulent relationship over the past handful of months – with all the attempts at a hostile takeover and whatnot. Evidently things are becoming a bit more civil. According to a report by Reuters, EA and Take-Two Interactive have signed a confidentiality agreement and have begun talking about a potential transaction between the two companies.

"As a result, EA does not intend to make any further announcements regarding the status of any discussions or negotiations with Take-Two unless and until discussions between EA and Take-Two have been terminated or such parties have entered into a transaction," said EA through a regulatory filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

With that statement, Take-Two can’t deny that they are willing to talk any longer. Not that we know if anything will come out of the proceedings. It looks like it will stay that way until a decision is made – until then – both companies are keeping their lips sealed.
