Smashing Pumpkins To Debut New Single Via World Tour

oon news like this won’t be news at all. However, the growing trend of debuting singles via popular music games still has us excited – for the moment. Smashing Pumpkins can now join the ever-growing list, with the announcement that they will be releasing their new single “G.L.O.W.” as part of a songpack for the upcoming Guitar Hero World Tour release.

This means that Guitar Hero World Tour owners will have access to the song before anyone else. The track will be bundled together with two other Smashing Pumpkin tracks – “The Everlasting Gaze” and “1979.” All three will be available for download after World Tour’s retail release.

In edition to the exclusive song debut, Billy Corgan – singer, songwriter and lead guitarist for the Smashing Pumpkins – will also be available as an in-game World Tour character. He will also bring with him the hit “Today” from the album Siamese Dream as a bonus for his on-disk rocker status. No pricing or specific release dates have been announced as of yet, but we will update you as more details surface.
