didn’t care for the last Wallace & Grommit title, Project Zoo, so I’m glad to see developer Frontier change up its design for Curse of the Were-Rabbit. As before, the cutscenes are genuinely funny and do a great job of translating the distinctive, handmade look of the series into the digital realm. This time around, the focus is much more on puzzle-solving, minigames, and switching between playing as Wallace, Grommit, and Hutch to accomplish different tasks for NPCs placed around the town. Even the platforming has been improved to be at least passable, which is a considerable step up from before. Also, the suction gun (although stolen from Luigi’s Mansion) is quite fun to use. Not brilliant, but it’s a competent licensed title that should appeal to hardcore W&G fans (i.e. the only people that will consider buying this game in the first place).
