oday The Sims franchise hit another milestone on its path to world domination – reaching over 100 million units sold world wide. Sold in 22 languages and available in 60 countries around the world, The Sims has done quite well since its launch in 2000. In celebration of the event, Sims fanatics can visit TheSims2.com on April 16th to receive an exclusive
commemorative outfit for their digital character.

EA sent along some fun facts with their celebratory announcement, including what 100 million copies of the Sims would look like in person. Evidently, 100 million copies of The Sims lined up end to end would line the perimeter of the Wembley football pitch over 115,000 times. The mental image conjured by this fact puts the puts The Sims’ massive achievement into perspective.
