imilar to fish being drawn to chum in the water, Pro Fishing Challenge’s proposed online multiplayer through Xbox Live proved to be an irresistible allure. Just the thought of competing against other players in a tournament complete with voice chat seemed like an amusing venture. Piquing my interest even more, players can traverse four gigantic lakes, customize their character’s appearance, and switch between over 100 lures, reels, lines, and rods. As I quickly found out, however, the fluff is the only redeeming quality. A foul dead fish aroma surrounds every gameplay aspect. The techniques of casting, jigging, setting the hook, and landing the fish are miserably executed. Outside of this, there really isn’t much to do, other than aimlessly driving the boat. Simply put, this is one fish that won’t be nibbling on my rod ever again.
