PS3 Firmware Update 2.01 Improves “Stability”
 ever let it be said that Sony is hesitant to update its PlayStation 3 firmware. Less than two weeks after version 2.00 hit the system, Sony is offering another update, which will bring consoles up to 2.01. What does the update actually do? According to the PlayStation Blog, it adds a few stability enhancements in software, system software and the PlayStation 2 upscaler. Additionally, the Remote Start feature has been tweaked to avoid turning the system on unintentionally. So there you have it.
