Eating Big Macs Could Net You A PSP

cDonald’s today announced an exclusive promotion with Sony Computer Entertainment America that offers customers the chance to win a PSP with the Big Mac and PSP promotion “Only the MAC CODE Knows,” running July 5 - July 25, 2005.

With every purchase of a Big Mac sandwich or large fries, customers will receive a unique “MAC CODE” that provides access to the PlayatMcD.com Web site where customers can enter to win one of more than 50,000 PlayStation prizes including: PSP systems, PlayStation 2 computer entertainment systems, and the latest software titles for PSP and PlayStation 2 including select Greatest Hits.

“Nothing is hotter with young adults than video gaming and the hottest thing in video gaming is PSP,” said Douglas Freeland, Director of Brand/Entertainment Strategy McDonald’s U.S. Marketing. “Winning a PSP, or other PlayStation prizes, is as easy as going to McDonald’s and buying a Big Mac sandwich or large fries.”

“This summer we are partnering with McDonald’s to give consumers across the country the chance to experience the world of PlayStation,” said Sharon Shapiro, senior director, promotions and sports product marketing , Sony Computer Entertainment America. “From PSP, PlayStation 2, or our hottest software titles, there is something for everyone to enjoy.”

This latest promotion reinforces McDonald’s commitment to technology that includes over 4,000 McDonald’s Wi-Fi locations powered by Wayport in the U.S., enabling customers to access PlayatMcD.com from their laptops while inside McDonald’s to see if their MAC CODE is a winner.
