lthough the official launch day for Nintendo’s anticipated exergame Wii Fit has been listed as May 19 for some time now, yesterday came and went without a nationwide release. Why you ask? Via GameTap we learned that the official launch has been moved to tomorrow, May 21. Technically, some Wii Fit fans were able to get their hands on the goods yesterday. The Nintendo World Store in New York was the only store in the United States to follow through with the May 19 launch, but they themselves had very limited quantities.
The last-minute shift in schedule has some worried that the action signals another Nintendo product shortage. Both the Nintendo Wii and its motion-sensing controller have been difficult to find since the late 2006 launch, but Nintendo has assured consumers thus far that there is no Wii Fit shortage expected on launch day
